This shot was taken while standing on an old reservoir dam just feet from the gator. While we were standing there, we counted three(visible) gators in the waters surrounding us. I have to admit that it was a bit unsettling that the only thing keeping this gator from whipping around and taking a bite at me was his level of disinterest. Thanks for not eating me gator.

This is a little late, but I took this shot a few weeks back right after Geraldo made those ridiculous comments about hoodies. Another example of conservatives going backwards while yesterday we were given an example of liberals pushing forward. It must be exhausting to always be the opposition to progress.

From the very impressive collection at the Museum of Natural History. And speaking of dinosaurs, it was another sad day in Republican politics yesterday, as the GOP showed their ongoing commitment to extremism and partisanship by ousting a moderate Republican( relatively speaking ). What? We have a statesman willing to reach across the aisle? He’s got to go. Can’t compromise, will NOT COMPROMISE.

And then there’s North Carolina, amending their constitution to include inequality by banning gay marriage. Seriously, what is wrong with people? What’s next? Masturbation? That’s in the Bible, a big no-no? Wait, I shouldn’t joke. Had Santorum made his way to the White House, he probably would have outlawed any form of pleasure that didn’t result in offspring.

Back to work after a relatively quiet weekend. Didn’t do all that much but did see the Avengers. Can’t say it was the best movie I’ve ever seen but for that it was, it was a lot of fun, most of the enjoyment coming from the Hulk. He definitely came through and provided many crowd pleasing moments. So, if you feel like wasting a couple hours of dazzling graphics and a beat up Manhattan, this movie is for you.
